Canada's most advanced Earth observation satellite delivers C-band SAR for ice mapping, oil spill detection, and agricultural monitoring. Its ultra-fine mode achieves 3-meter resolution — sharp enough to identify individual sea ice floes for Arctic shipping guidance. Canada uses it to monitor sovereign Arctic territory and provide ice charts for the Northern Sea Route.
