An Intelsat C and Ku-band commercial communications satellite serving transatlantic routes. Intelsat has connected continents since it launched the world's first commercial communications satellite in 1965 — EARLY BIRD allowed the first live transatlantic TV broadcast. IS-14 continues that legacy, carrying broadband, enterprise data, and government communications between the Americas, Europe, and Africa on the same routes that Intelsat has served for six decades.
