France's 50 cm commercial imaging satellite documents war damage, maps disaster zones, and monitors illegal deforestation in near real-time. Together with Pleiades-1B, it can image any target on Earth within 24 hours — responsiveness previously achievable only by military satellites. Commercial imaging has entered every domain previously exclusive to government programs.
