The fourth China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite, CBERS-4 is the result of a 25-year collaboration between two emerging space powers sharing technology to reduce costs. It provides medium-resolution multispectral imagery freely distributed across Latin America and Africa, making Brazil a significant player in open Earth observation data distribution in the developing world.
