BeiDou-3 M7, part of China's rapid global BeiDou-3 build-out, launched in 2018 as China accelerated toward full constellation completion at a pace that startled Western observers — multiple BeiDou-3 satellites reaching orbit within months of each other, a deployment tempo few other national space programs have matched for a navigation constellation of this scale. BeiDou-3's rapid 2018 launch cadence meant China added more operational navigation satellites that single year than most countries have launched across their entire satellite navigation history combined.
