Second satellite of the Yaogan-30 group 05 triplet, part of China's fifth naval ELINT surveillance formation. The 18-month gap between this group and group 04 suggested the Yaogan-30 constellation had reached a stable operational density, with new triplets subsequently added on more of a maintenance and gradual expansion basis rather than the crash buildout of the program's first year.
