SeaHawk-1, a small satellite built specifically to democratize ocean color science — carrying a compact camera capable of measuring phytoplankton concentration and coastal water quality at a fraction of the cost of traditional ocean color missions, part of a NASA-funded effort to prove cheap CubeSats could do genuine oceanographic science.
