Ningxia-1 (5), also known as Zhongzi, part of a Chinese commercial satellite constellation owned by Ningxia Jingui Information Technology and built by CAST subsidiary DFH Satellite Co. Officially described only as a remote sensing system, the constellation has been widely assessed by independent trackers as a commercial signals-intelligence network monitoring global RF spectrum and vehicle traffic — one of several private Chinese satellite ventures whose stated civilian purpose and observed capabilities appear to diverge. This satellite is one of five additional satellites added to expand the constellation's coverage and revisit frequency.
