CentiSpace-1 S5, part of China's growing GNSS augmentation constellation, orbits specifically to fill gaps in ground-based correction networks that only work near a fixed reference station. A satellite-based augmentation signal works anywhere on Earth the satellite can see, extending centimeter-precision positioning support to farmland, construction sites, and shipping lanes far from any ground infrastructure.
