A Galaxy C-band satellite at 87°W providing cable distribution across the eastern United States. Galaxy-32 and Galaxy-31 were launched together as a pair, demonstrating SES's commitment to maintaining C-band infrastructure at multiple US orbital slots simultaneously. The eastern US position covers the densest cable markets — the Northeast megalopolis, Florida, and the Mid-Atlantic states — where cable television penetration remains highest and satellite distribution revenue is most concentrated.
