Second satellite of the first Yaogan-39 group, flying a formation nearly identical to the naval ELINT triplets China has operated since 2010 — except this one carries a newer, undisclosed sensor suite. Analysts assess it as a successor architecture combining radar, optical, and signals intelligence in ways the older programs never did. China has offered no comment.
