The third satellite completing the Chuangxin-20 formation-flying trio, launched together with CX-20A and CX-20B in 2023. Three-satellite formations provide a minimum viable testbed for triangulation-based techniques — the same basic principle behind China's Yaogan naval surveillance triplets, but here applied in an experimental technology-proving context rather than an operational military mission.
