EOS-08, an Indian Earth observation satellite carrying a novel infrared and hyperspectral imaging payload alongside a global navigation satellite system reflectometer — testing whether bounced GPS and NavIC signals can reveal soil moisture and flood extent, part of ISRO's continuous push to test new sensor technology on small, low-cost satellite platforms before committing it to larger operational missions.
