Believed to be part of the same six-satellite Chinese launch as its cluster-mates (COSPAR 2024-153), matching the second Yaogan-43 test batch launched September 3, 2024 from Xichang on a Long March 4B. No individually disclosed mission function exists for this object; the Yaogan-43 program has been described in Chinese state media only in general terms, and some outside analysts suspect the satellites in each Yaogan-43 batch may come from several different manufacturers rather than represent one uniform payload design.
