Lead satellite of the six-satellite Yaogan-43 group 02 batch, launched September 3, 2024 — just weeks after the first nine-satellite group. The smaller six-satellite size of this second batch, compared to the first group's nine, suggests China may have been testing different constellation scales or configurations as part of the same broader LEO architecture demonstration program.
