Japan's next-generation greenhouse gas satellite combines CO2 and methane measurement with ocean wind sensing. It measures greenhouse gas concentrations precisely enough to verify whether national commitments under the Paris Agreement are being kept — a scientific fact-checker for climate diplomacy operating from orbit.
