TDRS-6 watches over the Earth from a fixed point in geostationary orbit, acting as a relay tower for spacecraft that NASA can't reach directly with ground antennas. Its Ku-band links support everything from Hubble Space Telescope image downlinks to emergency audio from astronauts during extravehicular activities. A satellite that speaks for dozens of other satellites.
