Telesat Canada's largest satellite providing Ka-band broadband, Ku-band broadcasting, and C-band communications across North America. Anik F2 was specifically designed to deliver Canada's first satellite internet to remote Arctic communities, First Nations reserves, and rural areas across Canada's enormous northern territory. The Inuktitut word 'Anik' means 'brother' — the name for the satellite series that has been Canada's space family for over 50 years.
