Germany's flagship commercial radar satellite produces 1-meter resolution imagery regardless of weather or lighting. It has measured ground subsidence in Mexico City, mapped Arctic sea ice for shipping, and detected oil spills at sea. It flies with TanDEM-X in formation to create the most precise global elevation model ever made.
