Companion to Shijian-6 03A, completing the third generation of China's paired space environment research satellites. Each successive Shijian-6 generation has refreshed China's understanding of how the orbital radiation environment changes over the roughly 11-year solar activity cycle, since particle flux in low Earth orbit rises and falls significantly with solar maximum and minimum.
