Yaogan-11, the fourth satellite in China's JB-6 optical reconnaissance family, launched September 2010. Each successive Yaogan-2/4/7/11/24/30 generation has incrementally improved resolution and coverage, part of the systematic, unhurried expansion pattern China has applied to nearly every category of military reconnaissance satellite since the mid-2000s.
