A newer Optus satellite extending Australian satellite capacity for the digital broadcasting era. Optus-10 provides Australia's satellite television backbone as HD and 4K broadcasting becomes standard — delivering higher data volumes that require more satellite capacity than legacy satellite television systems. It also supports Australia's satellite broadband services through the Sky Muster program that connects remote communities to the national broadband network.
