The middle satellite of the Yaogan-25 ELINT triplet, flying alongside Yaogan-25A and 25C in a 680-mile, 63.4°-inclined orbit since 2014 — a high-altitude, high-inclination geometry distinct from the lower, more equatorial orbits used by later Yaogan-30 generations. Yaogan-25's wide-area coverage from this altitude allows the triplet to detect naval radio emissions across enormous stretches of ocean simultaneously, feeding a targeting architecture that Western analysts assess as central to China's anti-ship ballistic missile kill chain.
