One of Aerospace Corporation's first 1.5U CubeSats, part of the AeroCube-5 generation that expanded on the pointing precision and mission-readiness validated by AeroCube-4. AeroCube-5C, launched 2015, continued the incremental technology maturation approach that has defined the entire AeroCube program since 1999 — each mission validating a specific new capability (attitude control, propulsion, optical communication) that later missions and eventually operational satellites would depend upon.
