PRSS-1 (Pakistan Remote Sensing Satellite-1), Pakistan's first high-resolution optical Earth observation satellite, built with Chinese assistance and launched in 2018 to provide 1-meter resolution imagery for national mapping, agriculture, and disaster response — replacing Pakistan's reliance on foreign commercial imagery for many government applications.
