BeiDou-3 M14, launched alongside BeiDou-3 M13 in 2018, continues China's rapid final approach to full BeiDou-3 constellation strength. The sheer pace of Chinese navigation satellite launches through 2018 — sometimes multiple satellites per month — reflected a national space program treating satellite navigation sovereignty with the same urgency other countries reserve for military hardware programs. The density of BeiDou-3 launches through 2018 meant China frequently had multiple navigation satellites simultaneously in transit to their final orbital slots, a level of parallel deployment complexity few space programs attempt for a single constellation.
