India's second dedicated military communications satellite, this one serving the Indian Air Force. GSAT-7A provides connectivity for Indian Air Force aircraft, ground-based defense networks, and drone operations — enabling network-centric warfare capabilities for India's growing fleet of advanced combat aircraft. Like its naval predecessor GSAT-7, it was built on ISRO's I-3000 satellite bus and represents India's growing military space capabilities.
