A dual-payload satellite carrying both a Hellas-Sat commercial communications payload and Saudi Geostationary Satellite-1 (SGS-1) for Saudi Arabia. This co-hosted configuration — two satellite operators sharing a single spacecraft — reduces launch costs and makes use of unused capacity on the satellite bus. SGS-1 provides Saudi government and military communications while Hellas-Sat 4 extends Greek commercial satellite coverage to the Middle East and Indian Ocean.
