A dual-purpose satellite operated by Sky Perfect JSAT and Kacific Broadband Satellites, specifically designed to bring Ka-band broadband to Pacific Island nations — among the world's most digitally isolated communities. Kacific-1 serves 25 Pacific nations from Micronesia to Samoa with affordable satellite broadband, connecting island communities to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity that was previously inaccessible due to the Pacific Ocean's vast distances and lack of undersea cable infrastructure.
