Named Michael Freilich in honor of the late NASA oceanographer, Sentinel-6A is the most accurate sea level measurement satellite ever operated. It revealed that global sea level rise accelerated significantly between 2014 and 2020 — a critical finding for infrastructure planning in every coastal city on Earth.
