GeeSAT-1 (08), part of GEESATCOM — the satellite IoT constellation built and operated by Geespace, a subsidiary of the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, the automotive conglomerate behind Volvo, Polestar, and the Geely car brand. Remarkably, this makes Geely the world's first car manufacturer to build and operate its own satellite constellation. This satellite provides part of the 'Geely Future Mobility Constellation,' the first satellite network ever built and operated by a car manufacturer. By late 2025 the constellation had grown to 64 satellites, with a 240-satellite full deployment planned.
