The sixth and final satellite of the March 2024 Yunhai-2 batch, completing the second six-satellite deployment of China's radio occultation constellation. With this launch, the combined Yunhai-2 program reached its full designed twelve-satellite capacity — a constellation the WMO's space observation database now formally tracks as a meaningful contributor to global atmospheric and space weather monitoring, dual-use military origins notwithstanding.
