Tianhui-7, part of China's decades-long PLA stereo mapping and terrain intelligence program that began with the original Tianhui-1 in 2010. Each Tianhui generation has refined the accuracy and coverage of China's independent 3D elevation database — the digital terrain models underlying everything from artillery targeting calculations to civilian infrastructure planning — building a topographic intelligence archive that no foreign or commercial data source can substitute for.
