One of the surviving Ultra High Frequency Follow-On satellites from the 1990s — the Navy's legacy tactical communications network. UFO provides UHF channels for fleet communications, maritime patrol aircraft, and shore installations. Despite being over 30 years old, it remains operational as a backup and supplemental capacity system while MUOS phases in. A Cold War communications asset still watching over US naval forces.
