A satellite broadcasting digital audio radio services across Asia — Asia's equivalent of SiriusXM satellite radio for the automobile market. WorldSpace's AsiaStar was part of an ambitious attempt to bring satellite radio to the world outside North America, providing commercial-free music and programming across South Asia and Southeast Asia. WorldSpace eventually went bankrupt, but AsiaStar's broadcast capacity has been repurposed for communications services.
