The eleventh and final UFO satellite, the last representative of the legacy UHF naval communications era. UFO-11 bridges the gap between the original UFO constellation and the MUOS satellites that replaced it — ensuring no gap in Navy tactical communications coverage as the newer system phased in. Some UFO capacity remains in use as legacy UHF terminals in the fleet haven't yet been replaced with MUOS-capable equipment.
