An EchoStar high-power satellite at 119°W — the most powerful Ku-band satellite in North America when launched. EchoStar-14's extraordinary transmit power enables reception with tiny satellite antennas, making DISH service practical for RV owners, truck drivers with compact mobile dishes, and apartment dwellers where full-size dishes are prohibited. The 119°W position extends DISH's coverage to complement the 110°W primary position.
