A Japanese direct-to-home broadcasting satellite at 110°E — one of the most-watched orbital positions in Japan. BSAT satellites deliver Japanese national broadcast services including NHK's public broadcasts and commercial channels directly to home dish antennas. Japan's 4K Ultra HD broadcasting began on BSAT satellites, making Japan the world's first country to offer regular 4K satellite TV programming to home viewers.
