South Korea's KT SAT communications satellite providing Ku-band services for Korean domestic markets and maritime communications across northeast Asian waters. KoreaSat-6 supports South Korean broadcasting while serving maritime users in the Yellow Sea, Sea of Japan, and East China Sea — waters that see some of the world's heaviest commercial and military vessel traffic, all requiring satellite communications for navigation safety and operational coordination.
