India's first dedicated military communications satellite — exclusively serving the Indian Navy. GSAT-7 provides UHF, S, C, and Ku-band connectivity for Indian naval vessels, maritime patrol aircraft, and coastal installations from a position over the Indian Ocean. It gave the Indian Navy real-time situational awareness and secure communications across the entire Indian Ocean — the theater where India's maritime interests concentrate.
