Lead satellite of the Yaogan-20 triplet, launched August 2014 as the fourth generation of China's naval ELINT surveillance formation. By this point China had refined the triplet-launch model into a routine, low-risk deployment pattern, adding an entire new geolocation formation roughly every one to two years since Yaogan-9's 2010 debut.
