Second satellite of the Yaogan-20 triplet, part of China's fourth-generation naval ocean surveillance formation. Each new triplet generation added since 2010 has incrementally increased the density and reliability of China's Pacific-wide naval signals triangulation network, a program with no announced end point as of the mid-2020s.
