Satellogic's Pathfinder tested the hyperspectral and video imaging technology for its commercial constellation. Satellogic's approach — combining hyperspectral science imaging with commercial video in a microsatellite — proved the science-commercial divide in Earth observation was artificial, and that the same small spacecraft could serve both markets.
