The fourth SBIRS missile warning satellite, positioned to provide redundant coverage of the most likely missile threat corridors. SBIRS has been operational during North Korean ICBM tests, Iranian missile strikes on US bases in Iraq, and numerous other launch events — providing US commanders with crucial seconds to minutes of warning that change the calculus of every military confrontation.
