Hispasat's most powerful Americas satellite, incorporating high-throughput Ka-band payload alongside traditional Ku-band capacity. Amazonas-5 provides the backbone for Brazilian satellite internet services targeting the country's rural connectivity gap — 30 million Brazilians lack any broadband access, most in the Amazon region.
