Europe's atmospheric chemistry sentinel maps air pollution globally every single day at 2.2-mile resolution. Its TROPOMI instrument measures nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, methane, and carbon monoxide simultaneously. Within hours of a factory explosion or wildfire, Sentinel-5P shows the toxic plume drifting across continents — pollution made visible from orbit in near real-time.
