GeeSAT-1 (02), part of GEESATCOM — the satellite IoT constellation built and operated by Geespace, a subsidiary of the Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, the automotive conglomerate behind Volvo, Polestar, and the Geely car brand. Remarkably, this makes Geely the world's first car manufacturer to build and operate its own satellite constellation. This satellite provides satellite IoT connectivity for maritime fisheries, construction machinery, and agriculture across more than 20 partner countries. By late 2025 the constellation had grown to 64 satellites, with a 240-satellite full deployment planned.
