Lead satellite of the Yaogan-35 group 05 formation, launched 2023 to further expand China's mixed-sensor reconnaissance architecture. Five Yaogan-35 groups within roughly eighteen months represented a launch tempo that, combined with the parallel Yaogan-36 program, gave China one of the fastest-growing reconnaissance satellite fleets of any nation in the mid-2020s.
