The fourth satellite in China's Tianhui-5 mapping generation, expanding a constellation that by this point had grown well beyond the original two-satellite formation-flying pairs of earlier Tianhui generations. The expansion from paired to larger group deployments across the Tianhui-5 and Tianhui-6 generations reflects the PLA's growing appetite for more frequent terrain data refresh across a wider footprint of strategically relevant territory.
