Hors 3, radio designation RS81S, is one of two related CubeSats — alongside Hors 4 — flying on Russia's large November 4, 2024 Vostochny rideshare mission (COSPAR 2024-199), operated by IKI RAN, Russia's Space Research Institute, which also built the mission's primary Ionosfera-M scientific payloads. Public tracking sources classify Hors 3 as a technology-demonstration satellite, consistent with the largely experimental character of the roughly two dozen small satellites deployed on this launch, though its detailed mission objectives were not confirmed with confidence beyond that general classification.
